In Time – 19 Min.
As a Nigerian-American, Bisi has lived her life balancing between the freedom of an American lifestyle and the beliefs of her Yoruba ancestors. On the eve of her wedding tradition takes over, but it could cost her the man she loves. “In Time” explores the beauty and betrayal of culture on African women.

Adetoro Makinde – Director / Writer
A first generation Nigerian-American, Adetoro is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. In 2000, she co-founded the production company Backdoor Films. The following year, with a focus on producing, she made the highly successful short film, “WHOA” (Sundance Film Festival 2002). This led to the Chrysler Extreme Filmmaking Challenge where the short “Cop Block” premiered during the Cannes Film Festival 2002. Invited to Fox Searchlight’s Searchlab Program, she produced the short “3 Minutes”. In her latest effort, she wrote, co-directed, produced, and starred in the award-winning short “In Time” (Sundance 2005). The film has screened at over 40 venues and is currently airing on HBO. Along with her personal projects, she continues to works as a freelance producer and casting director.
